An Inconvenient Lie
An Inconvenient Lie --The Rec Report --By Michael Rectenwald 02 Mar 2007

Dick Cheney remarked on Thursday that it's an 'inconvenient truth' that the bloody conflict in Iraq is the key front in the war on terror. Thank you, Dick, for this very clear analogy. This is a nice example for those students studying analogies for the SAT...
Iraq is a mess because we made it a mess! So, idiots, are you going to do the same thing and expect different results? Or, will you do something different, you morons?
Of course, they are not the idiots for using justifications that they know are false. We are the idiots for not exposing and trouncing upon them mercilessly.
Let's call this 'justification' for escalation of a disaster what it is: an inconvenient lie!

2. Well, if they asked better questions, we'd see him less.
Which come to think of it, is a good thing.
