Saddam Hussein's lawyer has said he will write a book revealing the "many secrets" told to him by the executed dictator, including his links with insurgents.
Khalil al-Dulaimi said that a book detailing every word said to him by the dictator during 140 separate visits to his prison cell could be out within a year. The lawyer will detail Saddam's views on the fall of Baghdad, his capture and life in jail before his execution last year.
Mr Dulaimi's book will also challenge the "American version" of the story of Saddam's capture in a hole on a farm near the town of Tikrit.
"The story about the hole is not true. The real story is somewhat different. This is one of the secrets that will be revealed in the book."
