Target Iran: US able to strike in the spring
Despite denials, Pentagon plans for possible attack on nuclear sites are well advanced

US preparations for an air strike against Iran are at an advanced stage, in spite of repeated public denials by the Bush administration, according to informed sources in Washington.

The present military build-up in the Gulf would allow the US to mount an attack by the spring. But the sources said that if there was an attack, it was more likely next year, just before Mr Bush leaves office.

1. Congress better get a move on and prohibit any move on Iran.

3. Members of congress have already said
that they have not approved bush for an attack. They say he cannot attack Iran. The only thing they can do is lock the bastar* up permanently. He is certifiably crazy as a loon. Why can't they pass a resolution to get an independent psychiatrist to examine him.

9. They have said this
But yet Bush and his cabal keep moving forward like thy have nothing to fear.

I fear Congress will do what they have done in the past when these people shred, ignore, and break every international law possible, and trample the Constituiton.

Very little to nothing.

6. It's a bluff
people still believe we were going to attack Iran in 2005.
It's all just fear monger speak

8. Yeah, I heard people say that about Iraq, too, and I was willing to

entertain the idea that it was just a bluff. However, after watching their behavior over the past few years, and knowing what's in the doctrine written by PNAC, I believe these psychos will attack whomever they want when they want, consequences be damned. That seems to be one of the only consistencies with this administration. That, and the fact that they lie every time their mouths move...oh, and there uncanny ability to fail at whatever they attempt.

5. "Experts" have been predicting this for three years
and still no invasion.
but then again,
I'm sure the pentagon has invasion plans for the Figi islands. Still doesn't mean we will invade Iran this spring, summer, fall or following winter.

Better yet, why not brush up on Brittney's latest dating fiasco's, catch some American Idol, or toddle down to the local mall, and fill up your cart with useless trinkets.

This is clearly a waste of everyone's time.

7. Next year vs. this year does make some sense from the Chimp's standpoint
Let the 'surge' stabilize Iraq, so those problems are somewhat mitigated.

Do the deed in early spring 08, so if things go to hell in a handbasket, hey, your out of office in a few more months.

Then again, trying to predict this crews actions is like trying to predict what a 'monkey with a razor blade' may do.
