1. BushCo will push him to their puppet Iraqi council for a
show trial/execution. (timed, of course, for the US election)
Anything transparent risks Saddam exposing Reagan/Bush Sr/Rumsfield
complicity with some of Saddam's worst acts.

2. Kick for some great analysis.
Gitta Sereny's comments are great, Thomas Donnelly doesn't really have anything useful to say whatsoever but there is a persuasive case here for trying Saddam very publicly in Iraq for domestic and international crimes.
