14. Thanks, Mr Half-O-Witz, we'll look into it.
This man is pure evil, so self-absorbed he can't even see it.

2. Outrageous
I think that even surpasses Perle's unbelievable " If we just let our vision of the world go forth, and we embrace it entirely and we don't try to piece together clever diplomacy, but just wage a total war... our children will sing great songs about us years from now".

Wolfowitz's comment sounds like something Frank Burns would have said about Korea.:eyes:

6. Where did THAT one come from? The "total war" part alone...
... should get Bush impeached, just by association!

12. Does Perle have a draftable child?
Guess he and Paul W. were never in the military. Total war...children. Two concepts that should never be together. He sounds like Mao during the cultural revolution.

3. AAAAAh the irony
That is possibly the stupidest quote I have heard out of this administration. At least I can't think of any stupider ones of the top of my head.

4. "Bring It On" Still Wins...
...for stupidest remark ever...at least Wolfowitz isn't inviting the Iraqis to kill our people! (don't get me wrong...it's an AMAZINGLY stupid comment, but nobody's dying because of it...)

7. I like this one better
"Saddam didn't let the inspectors in so we did a regime change" (paraphrased)

Wolfie is terribly niave though..........

Hope the big time press eats his lunch.

8. The Dems should put together an ad reflecting the "best & brightest"...
Edited on Mon Jul-21-03 12:54 PM by Brotherjohn
It might go something like this:

"Remember when Bush said, though lacking foreign policy experience himself, that he'd surround himself with a team of the best and the brightest foreign policy experts in the world? Remember when he said he'd be "a uniter, not a divider" and that the U.S. should not go forth with an "arrogant" foreign policy or get into "nation-building"? Remember?"

Cut to quotes from various Bush administration officials:

"If we just let our vision of the world go forth, and we embrace it entirely and we don't try to piece together clever diplomacy, but just wage a total war... our children will sing great songs about us years from now". (Chairman of Defense Policy Board Daniel Perle)

"I think the burden is on those people who think he didn't have weapons of mass destruction to tell the world where they are" (Press Secretary Ari Fleischer)

"I think all foreigners should stop interfering in the internal affairs of Iraq." (Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz)

"We did not know at the time – no one knew at the time, in our circles – maybe someone knew down in the bowels of the agency, but no one in our circles knew that there were doubts and suspicions that this might be a forgery." (National Security Adviser Condoleeza Rice)

"No one could have conceived of planes as a weapon." (National Security Adviser Condoleeza Rice)

"We know where they are. They are in the area around Tikrit and Baghdad and east, west, south and north." (Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld)

"We gave a chance to allow the inspectors in, and he wouldn't let them in. And, therefore, after a reasonable request, we decided to remove him." (President George W. Bush)

"Bring 'em on!" (President George W. Bush)

(The list goes on...)

9. Please keep Wolfie....
I would like Wolfowitz to remain 'indefinitely' in Iraq....hopefully, being shot at on occasion. Then he can see for himself the warm welcome of the Iraqi people.

10. No quarrel with this being the quote of the century, but the century
is quite young and I am confident that Wolfowitz and other neocons of his ilk will top this one countless times going forward.

13. I can't decide
whether or not I'm surprised by his gaff or not. He's supposed to be one of the smart ones, right? At any rate, it's a perfect example of the arrogance with which we've become all too familiar.

This just in! Wolfie is an arsehole. Move along, nothing to see here.

16. It just goes to show how much "thinking" these fellas do.
I mean really. To make a quote like that is very telling. Everyone makes stupid statements at one time or another, however, this guy doesn't seem to "think" that we are the foreigners.

17. Wolfowitz - Quote of the Century? Hardly.
"I think all foreigners should stop interfering in the internal affairs of Iraq," said Wolfowitz, who is touring the country to meet U.S. troops and Iraqi officials."

The quote of the century? Hardly. For all his egregious propaganda, it's just more standard doublespeak from the crypto-Zionist US Defense Dept.

I'll be pleasantly surprised if anyone in the mainstream media takes Wolfowitz to task for this. The major media have all been cowed by the possibility of being labeled "anti-Semitic."

The news editors at the big media outlets "know" what wolfowitz "meant" and they let it slide. The US is supposed to be in Iraq - it's our destiny.

18. That quote illuminates the neocon mind-set
It simply doesn't register that they are themselves foreigners in Iraq, perhaps because in their minds Iraq belongs to them now. After all, they won it fair and square.

Reminds me of the question "How did OUR oil get under THEIR sand?!!"
