<snip>

Little more than a money-laundering office for Nazi operations in the United States, Bush, Walker and other confederates oversaw almost a dozen separate businesses. Acting with Thyssen's money, they aided the Nazi invasion of Europe by supplying resources for weaponry. In 1937, Bush set up a deal to help the Luftwaffe obtain tetraethyl lead to boost aircraft performance.

Americans first heard about Thyssen's American operations in the New York Herald-Tribune on July 30, 1942, eight months after Pearl Harbor. The headline declared "Hitler's Angel Has $3 Million in U.S. Bank." However, the story did not identify Bush or Harriman as UBC executives.

After the war ended in 1945, investigators learned that Bush had extremely close ties to Thyssen and continued to work as his agent to the end. When hostilities ceased, Bush helped move Thyssen assets to Panama, Argentina and Brazil, all major destinations for the flight of Nazi capital.

In 1951, following Thyssen's death in Argentina, the U.S. alien property custodian released the assets of Union Banking Corp. Prescott Bush cashed out his ownership share for $1.5 million. (In 2004 dollars, that's more than $10 million.) He used it to fund a successful U.S. Senate campaign from Connecticut and launch his son, the president's father, in the oil business...

of the CIA with his family history?

4. You think the CIA discriminates against criminals?
They're an equal opportunity organization. They seem to have had a special program for hiring ex-Nazis, war criminals and assassins.

It was GHW's awl bidness contacts that got him in with the CIA. Tha CIA has always worked closely with the oil companies when determining their missions.

And this new Bush fella, war hero (youngest pilot in WWII), Skull and Bonesman, oil business connections up the wahoo and a total lack of scruples was a definite up-and-comer with a bright future.

5. Maybe it's just me, but why would we continue hiring criminals in the CIA?
Shouldn't we be seeking good honest Americans? Why don't we let Patrick Fitzgerald clean up the CIA? He's the last good law man in America.

6. Because criminals will do the dirty work
The unethical thing, the unspeakable thing, the atrocity that will get the job done.

Most Americans have no clue what's being done in their name. Assassinations, torture, theft, drug-running, weapons sales, safe houses for dictators. And these are the things we know about and are documented.

But the minute you start suggesting "cleaning up" the CIA, you'll hear "National security" screamed in your face from about 10 different directions.

The CIA keeps the money flowing from a thousand different places in the form of favorable contracts from Third World despots. And how did those dictators get in? Take a guess.

Remember when Clinton tried to ban criminals from being hired or recruited for intelligence work?
Well, that policy is now scrapped. It was probably job one when Shrub got in.

If you're dirty enough, you have a future with the CIA.

Why is this family still allowed to reside in the US? Shouldn't they be in a cell in the Hague?

12. Indeed a dark past, read about bush family way before election
and the minute the polls started going for bush in Florida in 2000, I knew we were headed for a bush family & friends (in high & hidden places) takeover-their signature. W's Poppy was running the country (like Cheney)as veep to Reagan-the bush influence has been operating in d.c. for a very long time-way before W became prez. My best friends father was a character actor in Hollywood in the 50's, he hungout with Jane Wyman (Reagan's first wife) & Ronnie in Hollywood and then with Nancy & Ron (Nancy had a personal astrologer and consulted with her astrologer even during the WH years). Nancy pushed him into politics, her dad had political connections with GOP. Contrary to popular opinion, Reagan was easy to control (and not just by Nancy). He was an affable, mediocre actor and enjoyed the 'role of president'-because that it what it was to him-an immensely powerful acting gig, with dependable Nancy by his side. Nancy destested HW bush & Bar, the whole lot of them and to her credit she really tried to protect Ronnie and his legacy from being overwhelmed by HW Bush & family.

14. ronnie was the dress rehearsal. dumbya is the role of a lifetime.
Edited on Thu Jun-22-06 02:37 PM by Raster
ronnie raygun WILLINGLY sold his political soul for a shot at California governor. Until then he was arguably a liberal with liberal friends. Once he cut the deal...

I lived in Dallas from 1981 to 1996. My first two years in Texas I worked for one of the most rich and powerful rethuglican families in a semi-close capacity. I knew people intimately involved with the Texas rethuglican party. I watched dumbya systematically elevated from village druggie, drunkard and idiot into "owner" of the Texas Rangers and then governor. The fix has been in for years. Years. When Dan Rather called Florida for Gore in 2000 I thought we had dodged a terrible bullet. Then the broadcast cut to Austin and dumbya in a hotel suite telling the world that he *KNEW* there was a mistake, that he had won. I knew then the screw had begun to turn. The people's choice for *lawful* and *legal* President of the United States would be subverted. I have watched this saga for years, far longer than most people have even heard of george w. I've known people on the periphery, and I know the machinations and gyrations to bring these bastards to power. And folks, it ain't conspiracy theory. It's fact. And it's just as ugly as it seems, perhaps uglier. This is the military/industrial complex in business with the Texas white-boy petroleum mafia. They will do anything to gain and consolidate power. Anything.

16. interesting, a relative of mine lived in TX for years
(she had to keep her son in TX through high school, joint custody agreement)she was from CA and really disliked TX, and especially Dubya-she was there when he finally secured the Dallas Rangers & Gov. She used to call me and say, HW's son W is one crazy, scary guy, hope he never becomes Prez because he would be really dangerous in the WH. You obviously have been close to the fire, seeing this first hand. And, agree, the friend I mentioned before did say that Ronnie was a liberal before Nancy got her hands on him-I was young when he was our Governor, looking back he seems like the perfect "Manchurian Candidate". I had read all about the Bush family Nazi ties and their WWII activities-and the possible tie-in of HW to being in Dallas the day JFK was shot (re: the FBI report mention of 'Bush')After much research (even via some UFO 1940's/50's research I did way back re: CIA)I've come to think that HW was involved in deep covert CIA ops long before he was made CIA Director, perhaps as early as the late 50's. There is just so much stuff on this family it's sickening and mind boggling.

The bush* family doesn't produce doctors or scientists or farmers or bakers. They produce spies and white collar criminals.
