Republican strategy


I see the Republican strategy for Iraq now. Continue on with the war, no matter how fruitless it is. No matter how many casualties the soldiers sustain. No matter how much money they spend. No matter how much anger this causes in the Arab world. No matter how many international laws they have to break. No matter how many more of their coalition drops out. No matter how many American heroes they have to defame. No matter how many innocent Iraqis they have to kill ... to free. No matter what draconian laws their puppet government in Iraq enacts to quell the violence. No matter that they have set no standard by which they can declare victory. No matter that they have no exit strategy. No matter what.
Just keep fighting the war until a Democratic White House finally pulls the plug on this quagmire. Then the Republicans can always say they held their resolve, never gave up, and that the Democrats lost the war we couldn't win. This will hold true even if the Democrats don't gain control for another 20 years and we are still fighting and dying in Iraq.
