Brother Jeb would make 'great' US president: Bush
May 10 12:05 PM US/Eastern

President George W. Bush praised his brother, Florida governor Jeb Bush, as an "excellent" leader who would make a "great president" of the United States, according to news accounts.

"I think Jeb would be a great president. But it's up to Jeb to make a decision to run," Bush told reporters at a roundtable interview here with several Florida newspapers.

"I would like to see Jeb run at some point in time, but I have no idea if that's his intention or not," said the president, in comments published in the St Petersburg Times, and other dailies.

Bush said he had "pushed him fairly hard about what he intends to do," but said Jeb would not tip his hand.

"I have no idea what he's going to do. I've asked him that question myself. I truly don't think he knows," Bush said.

He added that his brother's "political future is very bright - if he chooses to have a political future. But he is an independent-minded guy. His priority is his family."

17. Another miserable failure in that department. Drug addict, sex in
the backseat, tearing up the lawn, cheating on import fees. One totally dysfunctional family.

8. Jeb-Condi '08!
Cheney goes before '08 and Jeb replaces him. Of course we'll be at war, and who would be crazy enough to change a winning team in the middle of a war? Jeb-Condi will preside over the fascist machine that is now nearly complete.

Slaughtering tens of thousands over a lie is a good thing.

13. The RW accepts contentious and devisive rulers, in corporations & politics
The Democrats are no different. But the Dems can support leaders who have less ties to th corporate ruling class family aristocracy, and this country is so far removed from a freedom loving people that maybe a Dem candidate sweep of congress and the WH won't repair the institutionalized torture, spying, bribery, killing, criminalization of the poor, that has dominated our foreign and domestic policies.
Nice song by Dar Williams, "I had no right" says,
"And only a layman's batch of napalm.
We pulled the draft files out,
We burned them in the parking lot,
Better the files than the bodies of children"
