2. Iran can't be trusted with nuclear weapons.
Therefore, Bush has decided to use his preemptive 'nuke them into oblivion policy'. Makes perfect sense.

3. The fact that we threaten them with nukes validates (in their mind)
their need to possess the same. We are dealing with a fucking madman in *ush.
I really can't believe what I am reading. It's like he wants to go down in flames.

4. The oil companies want Iran's awesome oil.
Iran is one of the few places left with lots of the good stuff: sweet, light crude oil. It's easy to refine, is cheap and keeps the U.S. economy running on Full Speed ahead.

There's a lot of oil in other places, but it's the "sour, heavy crude" which is expensive to refine and is an environmental nightmare.

I think the U.S. was probably happy to sit on Iraq's oil (also light, sweet crude). But recently Iraq has allied itself with Iran.....

not good. Time to drop some bombs.

5. Plame, Iran, Nukes, US Safety
Valerie Plame was apparently deeply involved in undercover Iran-Watch - the ability to monitor and track the goings-on inside Iran. Check it out

6. But he's not talking about it
Edited on Sun Apr-09-06 09:47 PM by DavidD
Not publicly, anyway. His handlers are clever enough not to let him do that. That's one facet of the closed, secretive nature of this administration.

We have to guess and deduce from leaks and hints. Alarming stuff, but nothing definitive.
