...for people who really didn't know what was happening.

I don't eat a whole lot of meat, but when I do, I go ahead and splurge on free range chicken. You see, I'm a nurse, and I've dealt with bacterial infections that are resistant to multiple drugs. The amount of antibiotics pumped into factory farmed animals to compensate for crowded conditions is appalling, and a disaster in the making.

I'm lucky, in that the neighborhood grocery carries free range chicken and organically farmed beef. However, if these were not options, I'd probably be completely vegetarian.

The more you know, the less you want to support this system.
