Why America hates the D.C. media
Commentary: Plus, Dick Parsons has no more excuses

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) - It has become a tradition that's almost as old as the White House itself: America loathes the White House press corps.
This is especially true when the journalists preen for the television cameras, yell at the press secretary to achieve a dramatic effect, act bratty and petulant, appear openly disrespectful to the president and the vice president and generally behave like unruly five-year-old children playing in a sandbox.
If you needed a reminder, consider the circus that ensued last week as the media did its best to nail Vice President Dick Cheney with anything it could.

I sent an e-mail to Jon. I am not positive that the e-mail is correct, since his wasn't listed (they provide one of those field screens) so I guessed that it's:

So far, no failed delivery, but we'll see.
here's what I sent to him:
I find it highly ironic that the Press Corps is so 'loathed." After all, its job is to get information from a White House and press secretary who don't want to provide information to the American people. It is easy to pick on the media as spoiled brats who are not getting their way, but in reality, it is the American people who suffer from not being provided the information that we have a right to know.
One who thinks that David Gregary and Co. look like spoiled brats, obviously does not grasp this simple concept. Additionally, the heated press gaggles are a reflection of a secretive, stubborn, and arrogant White House that refuses to come clean with the American people. This story would have been quickly resolved if Cheney and Scottie would have simply provided detailed and relevant information instead of stonewalling as usual.
