DIO Slams PRESIDENT BUSH
DIO Slams PRESIDENT BUSH, Says OZZY's 'Performance' Has Nothing To Do With Music - Jan. 2, 2006

Legendary heavy metal vocalist Ronnie James Dio recently spoke to the U.K.'s Terrorizer magazine (web site) about George W. Bush and Ozzy Osbourne amongst many other things. On Bush, Dio said, "I've never supported him and certainly would never vote for him. I think he's a fool and a man without forethought. I have no confidence in him whatsoever. I think he's an idiot, I really do. He has done nothing to our country but drag it down to the ground."

1. And that just proves his coolness.
I was huge into Dio in high school and now I wish I still had those ancient tapes to listen to. :)

4. But he trashes OZZY
who still holds a little piece of my heart. :headbang:

That said, it is time for him to stay off the stage. The man is not in good shape.

6. Black Sabbath
Revolutionized Goth, Doom and all that is heavy. Ozzy was a part of that and deserves respect.

That being said, he should stop before he tarnishes that image. DIO is full of sour grapes I think because he was never as popular when he was doing vocals for Black Sabbath.

In 1994, I went to England as part of a promotion for "NIB", a Black Sabbath tribute album, and I had dinner with Ozzy and his family. I like to think of that as the pilot for "The Osbournes".

:)

Ozzy has a heart of gold and has done a lot for the heavy music world.

Oh, yeah, what DIO said about Bush is spot on! :)

7. \m/ DIO rules! \m/
He's right about bush, and expressed his opinion in an intelligent manner.

As for Ozzy, he's right that Ozzy is a parody of his former self, but I think to discount his influence or participation in the original Black Sabbath era is shortsighted. Once Ozzy left the band and met Sharon, he started the slow slide to his present condition.
