Mission Accomplished: Big Oil's Occupation of Iraq
Edited on Mon Dec-05-05 12:47 AM by Matilda
Has Junior been successful after all? I had hoped that the wheels
were falling off his wagon at last, but according to this article,
that's not the case.

"The Bush administration's covert plan to help energy companies
steal Iraq's oil could be just weeks away from fruition, and the
implications are staggering: continued price-gouging by Big Oil,
increased subjugation of the Iraqi people, more US troops in Iraq,
and a greater likelihood for a US invasion of Iran."

It makes very depressing reading, but I know Heather Wokusch is a
respected journalist, and as Britain is also involved it certainly
goes a long way to explain why Tony Blair has held on for so long
to the Bush line on Iraq.

2. DRAFT...have u heard of it
if levels in the armed forces drop farther..they will draft. All of the keys are in place...seniors in high school have been put on the lists for years. Your local draft board is healthy and ready to serve.
they can start fill quotas in weeks. Believe me they will.

9. There are currently no indications a draft would be possible.
It is true that young men have to sign up for selective service. If you get any kind of federal money for college and you are male, you WILL sign up for the selective service.

However, even with a volunteer military, the US public doesn't want troops in Iraq over the long run. There is ZERO support for a draft. It won't happen.
