Editorial against Bush torture policy mentions Neil Lisst comic!!
Edited on Mon Nov-14-05 01:35 AM by Neil Lisst
Hey yall! I know some of you follow the Neil Lisst comic as I post it here five days a week. Last week we did International Jeopardy, and Sunday that comic was mentioned in the following editorial of the Lufkin Daily News, one of the Cox Newspapers.

Here is the comic referred to in the editorial.

Here is the editorial, by Cynthia Hall Clements. Our mention is near the bottom.

It's a long fall from grace for Bush

By CYNTHIA HALL CLEMENTS, The Lufkin Daily News

Sunday, November 13, 2005

The lowest approval ratings of his presidency, hovering in the 30 percent range, and George W. Bush says, "Trust me."

<snip>

The indictment of Vice President Dick Cheney's former chief of staff, I. Lewis Libby, on charges that he leaked covert CIA officer Valerie Plame's identity to the media, and suspicions of Bush confidant Karl Rove's behind-the-scenes involvement as well, and Bush says, "Trust me."

<big snip>
Political cartoonist Jim Moore, in his online political comic, (http://www.webcomicsnation.com/neillisst/neillisst/toc.php) gives us a couple of reasons to suggest that Americans can't trust Bush. In a recent cartoon, main character 24-year old American, Neil Lisst is playing "International Jeopardy" and selects the category, "notorious human rights abusers." Neil listens to the answer, "These three nuclear powers have secret prisons and imprison citizens without trials," and correctly asks the question, "What are China, North Korea, and the United States?"

The company we keep. It's a long fall from grace and trust.

9. We have a return of Jeopardy this week!
Edited on Mon Nov-14-05 06:22 PM by Neil Lisst
I think it's going to be Wednesday.

More grim humor about human rights.

I'm very, very upset about the US becoming a major human rights abuser in the world. Inside Bush beats the heart of Kim Jong Ill.

11. Thanks. Don't give me Cat Scratch Fever!
I used to love Ted Nugent. Now I want to shoot him with a bow and arrow, and make sausage from him, using one of his recipes.

13. He wasn't even the singer in STRANGLEHOLD ...
... or any of the other songs. It was a hispanic dude. He only played the guitar.

He's parlayed his hunting/gun/outdoorsman schtick into a cottage industry.
