Karl Rove Built Reputation in Ala. Races

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) -

Karl Rove, the presidential adviser under investigation in the CIA leak case, built his reputation as one of the nation's top political strategists by helping change Alabama's Supreme Court from all Democrats to all Republicans.

"Alabama might have eventually gotten there, but the state got there much quicker because of him," said Clark Richardson, former president of the Business Council of Alabama.

The nine Republicans now on the Alabama Supreme Court aren't the only measure of Rove's influence on Alabama.

1. And W spent his ANG in Alabama on GOP elections
It seems Alabama was targeted by the likes of W and Rove, their fundamentalists backers, and GOP elitists.

No wonder Alabama is one of the most backward states in the nation.
