USAToday: While other world leaders stumble, Bush gains clout
http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2005-05-28-bush-world-leader_x.htm

snip

"Nearly all his fellow leaders of the world's big industrial democracies have stumbled. It has left them vulnerable at home and weakener on the world stage.

The president, through it all, is riding what he sees as a strong re-election mandate to trumpet his goal of spreading democracy.

That helps explains why Bush, despite a slip in his approval rating among Americans, may find himself holding the stronger hand when he travels in early July to Scotland for the annual summit of the leaders of the eight major industrialized democracies."

snip

Excuse me? Did the White House write this? It goes on to say:

"Bush himself is having trouble on Social Security, judicial nominations and other domestic priorities. Yet, analysts suggest, the president has had strong run internationally over the past few months — even with the continuing violence in Iraq and Afghanistan."

What analysts are those? Hannity and Limbaugh?

3. some people say, or..

.. some analysts say.

Sounds like specious, spurious propaganda to me.

Chirac, Blair, and Schroder -are- in trouble, though.. and Berlusconi was too, and though he weathered the bad patch, I think he's weaker.

Blair and Berlusconi are in trouble or weaker because they allied themselves with Bush and the insane, unnecessary war.

Chirac and Schroder are in trouble because of their allegiance with the practices of American corporo-fascism which is slowly turning against the workers.

Is Bush that strong on the international stage? He and Condi are going around speaking and spending a helluvalotta money that we don't have.

But I think the cracks have formed in the pavement of state, which is crumbling on every stage, international and domestic, because of the insane war and spending practices.

The handwriting's in the cracks, so to speak.. only a matter of time before Bush and the GOP implode.

The rest is either silence or up to the people.

5. What utter BS!
But perfectly compatible with the pro-fascistic government, biased-source, self-censoring, pro-business garbage that is historically the content of USAToday.

Don't worry about it; fictional "news" is nothing new for them. You can cleanse yourself now. :puke:

8. Bush looks soo faabulous in that picture.

Who wrote this editorial being presented as 'news'? It just says it's from The Associated Press, no editorialist's name is given.

USA Today - just another part of the Ministry of Propaganda of the regressive, extremist neocons.
