'Three massacres' in anti-government uprising (Andizhan)
<snip> While Mr Karimov has put the death toll at 169, human rights groups have estimated that up to 1000 people - most of them unarmed civilians - died in the violence.

What emerged was that there were three separate massacres, with some of the wounded finished off at point blank range. Several children caught up in the slaughter also died. Some victims were killed in further sporadic attacks in Andizhan; others when troops opened fire on refugees at the Kyrgyzstan border. <snip>

1. Ah, another murderous thug who has no qualms about killing innocent
people to maintain power.

The human is a seriously flawed creature. It cannibalizes its own for the most dispicable reasons.
