Bin Laden may be captured soon, reportedly.
Arrest of 'the Libyan' revives hope of capturing bin Laden
When President Bush said after the 9/11 attacks that he wanted al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden "dead or alive," few would have thought he would still be at large nearly four years later.
Wednesday brought new hope that for all bin Laden's elusiveness, he is not entirely safe: Pakistan announced the capture of al-Qaeda's suspected No. 3 man, Abu Farraj al-Libbi...

23. And the way every low rent no-name that we do capture
Edited on Wed May-04-05 11:35 PM by the dogfish
turns out somehow to be yet another "mastermind behind the nine eleven terror plot"?

That's a lotta masterminds, man.

Every one that we "capture" ends up on the tv looking like they weren't exactly a big challenge; there's either like a big fat belly so you know he wasn't running too fast or they have a look on their face like they're from the shallow end of the gene pool.

Either way it's clear all we've managed to "capture" so far is the low-hanging fruit.

On edit: I forgot to add the recent bit about the guy who was supposedly storing pictures of Iraq insurgents in his "My Pictures" folder on his hard drive. Geez he's crafty eh?

early to mid 2006...Just in time for the mid-term elections, so other repubs can go pimp Bush around the country for their campaign.

Or this just could be bogus story to boost support.

al-Libbi (nice touch... Liberal... Libbi... by the propagandists, btw) is deader 'n shit in winter.
Look at his picture.

Edited on Wed May-04-05 11:25 PM by FlemingsGhost
Will U.S. unemployment plummet ... budget deficits magically disappear? Suddenly, everyone in the U.S. gets full healthcare coverage?

I'm sure the brave Iraqis fighting for their homes--their personal freedom--will pack it in and turn on "American Idol."

25. Alas another opportunity to catch the elusive Bin Laden...
We were this close :::holds up finger and thumb slight distance apart::: Would you believe this close?

Actually Bin Laden is a tool, a wolf, the right uses to keep the sheep anxious...so the sheepdogs can keep them rounded up and secure. Easy to control.

24. I hope he does catch Bin Laden
For two reasons:

1) Bin Laden is an evil SOB
2) Bin Laden is the only reason the country hasn't completely turned on Bush. With Bin Laden captured, the "war on terror" becomes less attractive.

god, they are so transparent.

Shitty poll numbers = rise in bin laden rhoric.

It was once terror alerts now it's this. Hmm wonder what it will be next year?

bin laden all but dissapears from the map, now they pull out his image to boost his numbers.

Once again, what a colossal failure*

29. "Few would have thought he would still be at large nearly four years later
That's VERY diplomatic. Snicker. The subtext is rich, you could grow flowers and trees in it.

Yep, we get the comedienne, anything but the scary issues. Distraction, distraction...

While they release commercials supporting Bolton. They're letting DeLay sink out of memory as well. Until it gets so that he won't have to leave... See, he's still there, and they're trying to outwait us.

If they ignore it, and bring it back after the hoo-ha, they think they'll win. They're literally counting on outwaiting us, that we won't muster the same resistance two times in a row. On several issues. They really have nothing better to do. Wow...
