Withdraw Bolton's Name (South Florida Sun-Sentinel)

South Florida Sun-Sentinel Editorial Board
Posted April 22 2005

President Bush should listen carefully to the voices of trepidation coming from lawmakers on his choice for United Nations representative.

The delay sends a strong signal that the Senate panel has deep misgivings about Bolton. Those doubts are justified, and the White House should withdraw the nomination. <snip>

4. Maybe you've been seeing owners vs. editors.
In a showdown, the owners call the shots, but they may use a light hand if they think the issue is non-essential to them.
