Boeing boosts defense strategy
"The Boeing Co. has created a new umbrella organization that will coordinate with the U.S. military to find ways to boost the country's ability to quickly strike against threatening enemies around the world.
Boeing's new Air Force Systems Global Strike Solutions won't just focus on how to blow up things, or the enemy, but also on how to use information warfare and electronic attacks against an enemy, said the program's new vice president, Darryl Davis."

...the military-industrial complex just got a little more complex. I'm anticipating the opening of a Boeing "security consulting" division which will offer the services of its in-house fighters and pilots to the military.

"We got attacked in 9/11. And then corporate scandals started to bubble up to the surface, which created a -- a lack of confidence in the system. And then we had the drumbeat to war. Remember on our TV screens -- I'm not suggesting which network did this -- but it said, "March to War," every day from last summer until the spring -- "March to War, March to War." That's not a very conducive environment for people to take risk, when they hear, "March to War" all the time."
-- George W Bush, Washington, D.C., Aug. 1, 2003
