The article is all spin, of course. What I found interesting is the use of the word "refute", which I have always taken as synonymous with "prove", but which apparently has a weaker meaning, as in #2 below. (Number 2, get it?)



1 : to prove wrong by argument or evidence : show to be false or erroneous

2 : to deny the truth or accuracy of <refuted the allegations>
