Florida Panel Approves Election Results
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - It was a wish come true Sunday for Florida's elections officials: no cameras, few questions and a clear decision.

Unlike four years ago, when scores of television satellite trucks and hundreds of reporters camped outside the Capitol, the state canvassing board quietly certified the results of the Nov. 2 general election, in which President Bush (news - web sites) captured the state's 27 electoral votes by a comfortable margin.

"I think everyone is glad the election has come and gone," Secretary of State Glenda Hood said.

But referring to a handful of staffers and a couple of reporters observing the certification, she added, "It's a little lonesome."

Things were so routine Sunday that the canvassing board members who voted, Chief Financial Officer Tom Gallagher and Agriculture Commissioner Charlie Bronson, called in from home with their approval.

The third member, Attorney General Charlie Crist, didn't take part. Only two votes were needed.

3. The challenges can begin as those who can request a recount...
had to wait until the results are certified, I believe. I think this article subscribes to wishful thinking as to no cameras, etc.

7. They may not be the final, final results
but they were just revised within the last day. I've been watching the numbers since the election and the last time they changed them was on the 10th.

However, they are the numbers that are currently posted of the State of FL website.

"I think everyone is glad the election has come and gone," Secretary of State Glenda Hood said, as she licked the last drop of blood from her lips. "Yes, very glad."

Living in Florida is a double Bush whammy. I've had a mild case of nausea for over a week now. I should of never left Massachusetts.

10. Ugh! I feel for you, I really do.
By the end of Chimpy's 2nd term, those of us with the misfortune to live in Texas will have experienced 14 years of his royal incompetency.

I think I'm going to go cry now.

15. AAACKKKK! I feel for you, fidgeting wildly
I lived through Reagan as governor of California. He was so horrible that in college, a group of us all pledged (mainly in jest) to move to New Zealand if Reagan were ever elected President. That's how much we felt he had no chance, not a reflection of how much we wanted to move to NZ, which none of is did (cowards all).

We need to start a club of survivors of horrible governors who later became even worse presidents. Let's hope this is not a trend.

11. 100%? I thought it was unusual ...
... to have 100% of the votes accounted for? Or do they not count overs, unders, impropers, etc. in tabulating the percentage column in these reports?

12. We're not taking this lying down!
Bev Harris is on the scene and http://helpamericarecount.org is raising the money it will take to contest the quadrenniel Florida disaster. If the politicians and the parties won't do it, we the People will!

Please contribute and pass on the word. It's up to us.
