43. I don't know, does a VP really make a difference?
I mean, I like Clark and would love to see him enter the race. But, I kid of doubt that a running mate makes a real bottom line difference. Bush Sr. still won with Quayle. He definately wouldn't HURT Dean, but really help him that much? Maybe.

47. Uh..
No! Dean supporters are not anti-militaristic. Perhaps they didn't support the war in Iraq. Dean has said again and again that he would defend America with our troops if neccecary.

A Dean / Clark ticket is golden, face it.

52. I'm A Howard Dean Supporter, but certainly NOT anti-militaristic
There is no connection between the two; just because we don't believe in that bloody unprovoked war does in no way mean that we do not support the troops and the military in general. Don't be using such a broad brush.

38. Jump over, please
Clark is the Dems' best hope. He's got a sterling resume, a brilliant mind, he's more articulate than any candidate out there Repub or Dem, and he's got character. Not to mention a military record that will kill any Repub attempt to paint him as weak on security and defense.

If Clark jumps in, I will do something I have never done before. Get out there and work for him.

19. careful dreaming the ultimate dream
You think the Dean/Clark ticket, it that is what happens in Iowa, would be allowed to serve one day in DC as the leaders of the free world? The GOP Elite have constructed a fantasy for the American TV viewer that has became the reality for millions and Dean/Clark would be faced with either joining the corporate machine and the fantasy or exposing it by telling the truth. You think millions could handle having their shaky reality torn down by the truth? Change is a slow process.

26. Clark and Kerry
I see Clark hooking up with Kerry. Together they could blunt any attacks from the Repubs dealing with Iraq or national security. Both of them could then focus on the key issue for Democrats: the economy and how Republicans show time and again that they do not give a d@mn about the working middle class. Kerry and Clark could paint the Republicans as a party that is bought and paid for by the economic elite.

29. should of proof read first
Sorry Matcom I was doing a bit of rambling and the previous post lacked closure. What I ment to say was that Dean and Clark are truthful and would be a very good thing, too good for the American public who have had their reality built for them. My supposition is that the American majority could not handle the truth all at once and the Dean/Clark ticket would have to spoon feed us the facts gently. Or worse case senario they get eliminated or possibly catch the greed bug that so many other polititions have caught once they get to DC.

Whatever happens I think Dean/Clark are too truthful both for the American majority and the corporate Elite. We could not handle the truth because it would be so different than what we are hearing now.

32. I agree
Maybe enough people have learned just how the politicians are screwing us and want someone new. Case in point: the insiders, Kerry, Edwards,LieberGOPman are doing so poorly in the presidential race while Dean and the potential Clark candidacy are going quite well. Maybe enough people are fed up and will lead the sheep through to some new, more truthful times?

He keeps the heat on WhistleAss, he keeps the headlines focused on the failures in prosecuting the war in Iraq, he keeps the ears of the military, and their supporters, pricked up at full attention, and he keeps his damned face on television.

Would all of prefer he weren't around at all?

Go, all anti-Chimpies, GO!
