Body Found in Iraq Not That of Japanese Hostage
TOKYO (Reuters) - Japan said a body found in Iraq and flown to Kuwait for identification Saturday was most probably not that of a Japanese hostage, and officials vowed to make every effort for his release.

The body flown to Kuwait was examined by Japanese embassy doctors, who found it did not match Koda's physical characteristics and was not even Japanese, officials said.

Oct. 31 (Bloomberg) -- The Japanese government confirmed a headless corpse found near Baghdad is that of national Shosei Koda, 24, the third Japanese death in Iraq since Self-Defense troops were sent to the Middle Eastern country in January.
