Lawsuit over missing voter registration forms filed in Nevada

LAS VEGAS (AP) - Opening a new round of legal wrangling expected to continue through Election Day, a would-be Nevada voter filed a lawsuit Thursday that stems from accusations a Republican-funded group destroyed Democratic registration forms.

Dwight Brandon, a 44-year-old caterer from Las Vegas, discovered he was not registered to vote after hearing accusations that representatives of the voter canvassing company Voter Outreach of America had ripped up Democratic registration forms.

Although he doesn't know if members of the group took his registration form at an area mall, Brandon said he knows the person who did was wearing a shirt that said Republican on it.

"I'm here today because my rights were taken away," Brandon said at a news conference outside the Clark County courthouse. "I'm here to get them back."

The Democrats are doing everything they can to GET people to vote. The repubs are doing everything they can to PREVENT people from voting.

In a democracy where voting is the responsibility, right and obligation of the citizenry, anyone tampering with an election, the electoral process and/or the results, is in essence, committing treason. Electoral treason should be prosecuted and punished as such.

Is that there are more of us than there are of them, and they know damned well they cannot win an election in which the great mass of the people participates fully.
