QAIM, Iraq - A suicide car bomber attacked U.S. troops on patrol in western Iraq, killing four and wounding one, the U.S. military said Saturday.

The incident happened Friday near the town of Qaim in western Anbar province, according to Lt. Col. Chris Woodbridge, commander of the 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment. No other details were given.

Names of the victims involved are being withheld pending notification of kin.
