Schwarzenegger Talks to Foreign Press (ignores local press, talks groping)

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has kept his distance from the local media in recent months, but he happily chatted with foreign Hollywood reporters.

In a meeting with the Hollywood Foreign Press Association last week, the governor covered a range of topics, including last year's allegations that he had groped women, a whirlpool bath discussion with his wife about his run for office, and his views about the presidential candidates, the Los Angeles Times reported Tuesday.

Referring to the allegations about groping, Schwarzenegger admitted no wrongdoing during the interview last week but said he had learned his lesson. He said it is "a totally different ball game" now that he represents the state of California.

The world "has changed so much that any kind of a comment you make to a woman now about her clothes or about this or that could be misinterpreted and could make someone uncomfortable and open the door to a lawsuit," he said.

He's decided he won't grope women anymore because it wouldn't look good and he fears a lawsuit, not because it's wrong to grope women who don't want his attention. And it was okay before, when he wasn't governor -- now he has to stop because those uppity women don't like being groped. Asshat.

He can't do anything about the budget crisis, anymore than Davis could. He claims he's not taking a salary, which is good because he's not doing the job. Something about the Peter Principle is in play here.

Bring me back Governor Moonbeam, who also was smeared by the right wing propaganda liar's machine, but who left California with a surplus in the budget that was pirated away by subsequent Republican governors.
