U.S. Aircraft Destroys Fallujah Restaurant
A U.S. warplane early Tuesday destroyed a popular restaurant which the U.S. command said was a meeting place for members of Iraq's most feared terrorist organization.

The 12:01 a.m. blast demolished the Haj Hussein restaurant as well as nearby shops, residents said. There was no report of casualties and the restaurant was closed at the time, but two night guards were missing, residents said.

Ambulances and fire trucks rushed to the scene.

The U.S. military command in Baghdad made no mention of the restaurant but said the target was "a center" for the Tawhid and Jihad terror network, led by Jordanian-born extremist Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.

1. So this is what we do now? Bomb restaurants that are closed?
for the heck of it? What is the purpose to this and why is money being spent on bombing restaurants that are closed at 12.01 am?

I cannot deal with this war and it's barbarism. I am so ashamed of what we a doing and have done and will continue to do until Bush is ousted. This is an absolute absurdity. It seems now, with this type of fun and games, it is a video war game to see how many buildings you can bomb, as targets, even though there is no one in them, much less the "enemy". And of the two innocent security guards?

2. More US terrorism....
Abu Musab al-Zarqawi is nothing more than a bogey-man for the US. Their real aim is to bomb the shit out of Falluja until the residents give up the Resistance fighters who want their country back from the US occupiers. What they are accomplishing is just the opposite of course.

4. That's it for the resistance, I guess
Now that their favorite restaurant is gone, they are bound to give up. Kudos to Bushco for coming up with this cunning strategy.

6. All of Falluja is either a Safehouse or a Meeting Place!!!!!
It would seem that every damn house and building will eventually become either a safehouse or a meeting place for al-Zarqawi.

Why don't they just go ahead and just drop a fuel-air bomb and be done with it, why play cat and mouse games.

11. Spreading Freedom
This is the plan that will be in full scale if the Neo Fascists retain power in the U.S. By bombing Iraqi cities the U.S. troop casualties will be kept lower and Iraq will be pacified.

------ the U.S. command said was a meeting place for members of Iraq's most feared terrorist organization.------

al-Zarqawi again. Man, the bombs are always one step behind this mysterious alleged terror mastermind.

Someone can pay me and I'll pre-write the next 50 stories on the wedding bombings, safehouse bombings, mosque bombings and restaurant bombings.

Just use copy/paste and change the dates.

15. If We Knew Where They Were Meeting
Why blow it up? Now they'll find a new meeting place and we won't know where it is.
Why not bug the place?
