Al Jazeera says U.S. forces detain two journalists (Recieve death threats)
http://www.alertnet.org/thenews/newsdesk/L29539591.htm

DOHA, Aug 29 (Reuters) - The Arabic television network Al Jazeera said U.S. forces on Friday detained two of its journalists near the Iraqi city of Ramadi while they were interviewing witnesses about a recent blast.

Another correspondent in Iraq said U.S. soldiers also threatened to fire at staff in the future if they were caught in Ramadi, 110 km (68 miles) west of Baghdad, which has been a hotbed of resistance against U.S. troops.

"(U.S. soldiers) expressed their hatred of Al Jazeera and threatened to open fire on any Al Jazeera correspondent working in Ramadi in the future," the correspondent said.

Al Jazeera, which had won international renown after the September 11, 2001 attacks on the U.S. by airing exclusive audio and video tapes from Osama bin Laden and other senior members of al Qaeda group, said its two employees had been handed over to U.S. military police and Iraqi police.

1. "What reporters? Uhhhhh. We wouldn't do anything like that!"
Yeah, right.

<snip>
But a U.S. spokesman in Iraq said he had no information about any Al Jazeera journalists being arrested.

"I don't have anything in regards to two al Jazeera reporters and nothing in regards to them being detained," the official told Reuters.
<snip>

And Saddam's regime was an imminent threat to the US.

/sarcasm off

2. Is there any doubt now that the US actually murdered those reporters
who were killed in Iraq...including the Palestinian reporter? His brother was right! The soldiers knew he was not holding a weapon. They shot him on purpose.

3. They are out of control totally. Killing civilians, slaughtering

the entire Population of Tikrit because it is Saddam's birthplace--
to make a "statement"? These Neocons are so stupid. Iraq isn't
New Jersey, and these arrogant and hateful acts incite deeper
hatred among the Iraqi people for the U.S. inciting more violence
which incites more hatred which---

The whole "Saddam loyalist" thing is stupid. 90% of the Iraqi
population worked for Saddam, so they all have to die.

Sickening.
