1. Good for Edwards!

Edwards said that recent Republican ads depicting Osama bin Laden with narration claiming that terrorists would want John Kerry to be president exploits the Sept. 11 tragedy.

Edwards outlined a plan to fight the war on terror that would return the focus to the hunt for al-Qaida and bin Laden. He said the Kerry-Edwards plan would build international coalitions such as those that were built in both world wars.

Kerry has said he will remove troops from Iraq (news - web sites) during his first term as president. Edwards said doing so would require that the administration accelerate the training of Iraqi security forces.

2. Well, as you probably know,

we'd be saying "Good for Edwards" every day if the press would bother telling us what he's doing and what he's saying. They sure do a good job of ignoring people when they want to. We shouldn't have to search the internet to find a report on what he's doing!

4. I agree. Though I don't think some campaigns use the media

as effectively as they could. I think one has to make bold cutting statements at times to get media attention. They want red meat.

6. Excellent article in the new Rolling Stone on Edwards

The whole issue (Oct. 14, 2004...issue #959) really is a must-read for anyone who takes the time to post on DU. There's the cover story "Rockin' Rebels" on rockers speaking out against Bush, an article on Bush's AWOL days, and the Edwards article, with the sub-header ""With only six weeks until Election Day, and Bush and Cheney fighting dirty, John Edwards says he's ready to be the pit bull that John Kerry needs."

I believe that Kerry will do well in the debates. I believe that what will tip the scales in favor of a Kerry-Edwards victory will be the Edwards-Cheney debates. Cheney has NONE of the so-called "likability" of Bush, and Edwards is about a THOUSAND times tougher than Cheney gives him credit for.

People cannot see the blood of their children on Edwards' hands.

Who can say the same thing for Cheney? That blood is in his motherf**king bank account under "Halliburton Direct Deposit."

Edwards built himself up to where he is now by working his way up from JACK SHIT. No one handed ANYTHING to him. He WORKED for it. He FOUGHT for it. His FUCKING DADDY did not HAND HIM anything.

He's the next fucking Vice President of the United States.
