Bush sidesteps controversy at Guard convention (Kerry not tough enough)
Bush "alternated between lauding Guard members' devotion to country and questioning whether John Kerry is tough and constant enough to be commander in chief."

Bush sidesteps controversy at Guard convention
By Bill Nichols, USA TODAY
LAS VEGAS — President Bush lavished praise on National Guard forces Tuesday for their service in Iraq and Afghanistan, but he steered clear of the debate over his own Guard service during the Vietnam War.

Speaking to 4,000 delegates and exhibitors at the National Guard Association's national convention, Bush touched on his Guard experience only by noting that he is one of 19 presidents, including Abraham Lincoln and Harry Truman, to have served in the citizen-soldier force. "I am proud to be one of them," Bush said firmly, winning a roaring standing ovation from the crowd.

Rather than answer Democrats' questions about whether he fulfilled his Guard obligations or used family connections to avoid active duty, Bush alternated between lauding Guard members' devotion to country and questioning whether John Kerry is tough and constant enough to be commander in chief.<snip>

1. You'd have to spot FratBoy the first four letters of the word "tough"....
...before he could spell the word.

FratBoy is nothing but a spoiled rich little mama's boy.

2. So, going AWOL from a champagne unit is the new standard
for being "tough enough" nowadays?

One thing I have to hand to * though, he is "constant enough". He constantly runs everything he does into the crapper.

6. Like a bad neighbor. What do you do with these kinds of people?
Belligerent and arrogant are a bad combination. I have miniture version of Bush as a neighbor. Tresspasses and craps with his horse on my driveway. Has chickens that wake me up every day at 5am. When I asked him to kindly not tresspass and crap on my driveway, his wife said, "What's your problem?!". They are insensitive idiots. Like Bush. There isn't much you can do with people like this. I've got a double whammy, and I'm pissed off. A bad neighbor and a bad president. I used to call myself a Christian. But I don't love my enemy, and I hate my neighbor. Bad times, I tell you. Could be worse- we could be living in Baghdad. Sometimes I actually wonder if it would be worse. At least over there, EVERYONE hates Bush.
Well, enough of my life. I just hope we crush the Crawford Cockroach in November.
