MSNBC announces secretary being flown to CBS in NYC

them. I heard earlier in the day that she was flown to NY and CBS was interviewing her.

I'm hoping maybe they are trying to get confirmation of some of the things she has is telling them.

for me, I am going off to one of those famed "back to School Nights. But our local CBS affiliate had a 25 second spot of Dan's comments tonight which are basically we are standing by our story. I suspect that the old woman won't be prepped and interviewed tonight otherwise the teaser would have indicated that which it did not. Getting an 86 year old from dallas to laguardia these days is no blink of the eye so will see......Just don't drink any ice tea the stewardess offers...

Seriously my humble take on this is that even is the documents are forged it is the press's duty to stay on story which are the multitude of lies in GW Bush's military record. If this 86 year old grandma goes on and on about how she recalls waht a rule breaKER, SLACK OFF, AWOL DRUNK NO SHOW HE WAS --ONCE AGAIN THE WH HAS A PROBLEM. Compared to the rest of the presstitutes, Rather has become a bit of a thorn in the side of the Bushies. Sixty Minutes has also been out in front of the herd of lapdogs.

Why WOULDN'T a Rove type set a trap, with faked documents, to try to snare Rather?

I still believe they're authentic, but the whole brouhaha has completely usurped the rest of the dialog, about AWOL and the rest of whatever might be important to the country or the world.

Mrs. Knox said that she believes the documents to be fakes BUT THE CONTENT IS TRUE. She will be on 60 Minutes tonight, along with more no the story.

The CBS VP said that they will "redouble their efforts" to answer the questions regarding the authenticity of the memos.

17. She can't say they are fakes!!!!!

All she can can do is say she did not type them. Reports by CNN and others are biased as well, the experts are saying that they cannot authenticate the documents one way or the other. This does not prove they are fake, just that they don't know.

Incredibly one guy (Hodges??) says the document is fake but the signature is authentic. Does this sound a little strange?

Remember, he was concerned about the ramifications of the situation. Maybe, he typed them himself or had someone with a special clearance do so in order to keep the information as confidential as possible. The signature was authentic. They typestyle had been used since the sixties.

21. The only problem with that idea is that Mrs. Knox saidq

that some of the language in the memos was "Army" not "Air Force."

She also said that someone may have seen the actual documents and this was their effort to reconstruct them, and maybe they put in just enough changes that it couldn't be traced back to them. :shrug:
