The Twinkies brand is immensely popular and very profitable. If I was a competing baker, I would love to purchase the Twinkies brand and production facility.

This one appears to be accounting fraud--same as most of the Shrub bankruptcies. Which explains why neutering the SEC wasn't such a hot idea.

Used to be a Wonder Bread bakery in my town. Scout troops and schools would take tours. At the end, the kids would get a Twinkie and adults a loaf of freshly baked bread.

In many ways, this is sad news.
