Angus King Endorses Kerry

Former Gov. Angus King, an independent who says he voted for George W. Bush four years ago, endorsed Democratic challenger John Kerry on Tuesday and criticized Bush for his handling of the economy and the war in Iraq.

2. This is big for Maine voters

King was liked by a lot of folks and considered somewhat conservative. Hopefully this will change a few minds and motivate some.

He was a great Independent Gov when Jesse Ventura was sucking wind at doing the same.

New England needs a loud public endorsement by Angus to lock in all 6 states.

I saw Angus on NOW once and he was impressive.

Now I'm hoping to see some New England Republicans (i.e. Lincoln Chaffee) jump on to the Kerry bandwagon.

He's smart, verbal, and just plain common-sensical. Fiscal conservative and social liberal. Too bad he walked away from politics. I mean, bad for us -- and good for him!
