(CPOD) Sept. 18, 2004 – The state of Iowa remains a closely contested battleground in the 2004 United States presidential race, according to a poll by Strategic Vision. 48 per cent of respondents would vote for Republican incumbents George W. Bush and Dick Cheney, while 46 per cent would support the Democratic ticket of John Kerry and John Edwards. Independent candidate Ralph Nader and running mate Peter Camejo garner the support of two per cent of respondents, while four per cent are undecided. <snip>
Methodology: Telephone interviews to 801 likely Iowa voters, conducted from Sept. 13 to Sept. 15, 2004. Margin of error is 3 per cent.

Bush. Three per cent of respondents would vote for another candidate, and four per cent are undecided. <snip>
Methodology: Interviews to likely Iowa voters taken from a national sample of 13,000 likely voters, conducted from Aug. 1 to Aug. 26, 2004. Margin of error is 5 per cent. Percentages may not add up to 100 due to rounding.
