Kerry, Democrats borrow page from GOP in new offensive
ROCHESTER, Minn. (AP)

What went around seems to be coming around on the campaign trail. John Kerry and fellow Democrats are using the same tactics against President Bush that Republicans used against Kerry.

After weeks of Republicans questioning Kerry's military service and fitness to be president, Democrats are trying to undercut Bush's credibility. ..

One Democratic source says hammering Bush on his National Guard service is a new priority.

A Kerry spokeswoman says that while surrogates go about their business, the candidate himself will continue going after the president for choices made while in office.

16. Keep the pressure on!
Democrats need to keep the pressure on, smoke the bush coward out and make him stand up like a man and face America with the truth. I also believe they need to question his use of "God", this guy only became an Evangelical (PBS documentary) after losing his first election to an Evangelical, he does things that are not consistent with what Jesus would do and appears to hide behind this so called faith to cover up all his lies and errors in judgment. It's time he is exposed as the bush coward using people's faith much in the way they use the victims of 9/11 for their own political gains.

2. Kerry's campaign gave them the chance to play fair.
Repugs rejected it. Let's see what happens.

3. "trying to undercut Bush's credibility?" UH..more like, it's slam dunk!
Cheney/Bush don't have a lick of credibility to salvage, they've always been crooks and liars. Now it's just a matter of uncovering all the buried bodies to shine the light on their evil empire. I can't wait to get these liars out of the WH.

13. I second your reply....and I love your Ayn Rand byline
I'm marking the days until election day - and January 20, 2005.

With the Bush record on wars, recessions, huge deficits and corruption - hopefully this will be the last Bush to occupy the WH.

4. I love that first line
and the new strategy. Kerry hits on Bush's bad record, and everyone else does the dirty work.

5. Our Memo needs to be "Dems now telling the truth about Bush"
Edited on Wed Sep-08-04 09:00 PM by Dr Fate
We are not attacking & smearing Bush like he did Kerry-in fact, we gave them a chance to play fair.

We are just finially taking the gloves off & telling the truth about his record.

8. Ask About 8.8 Billion Dollars Also AWOL
Anytime anything shows up missing call it AWOL. Keep hammering the word AWOL at every opportunity. It does not have to be related to the TANG records. Intelligence? It was AWOL. Leadership? AWOL. Truth? Definitely AWOL. And then there's the AWOL money....

Audit Shows $8.8B Missing in Iraq Friday, August 20, 2004

WASHINGTON — A soon-to-be-released audit will show that at least $8.8 billion in Iraqi money that was given to Iraqi ministries by the former U.S.-led authority there cannot be accounted for, FOX News has confirmed. And three senators want to know where the cash is.

The draft audit by the Coalition Provisional Authority's inspector general chastises the CPA — formerly led by L. Paul Bremer — for "not providing adequate stewardship" of at least $8.8 billion from the Development Fund for Iraq. The audit is not expected to be released for at least two or three more weeks, possibly longer.

The audit was first reported on a Web site earlier this month by journalist and retired Col. David Hackworth. A U.S. official first confirmed to Reuters the contents of the leaked audit cited by Hackworth were accurate

9. They'd better have more respectable shills.
Because the Bush camp won't protect those individuals' records like they have the SBVT people. And any impropriety will be exploited in the press just as the SBVT people were slammed, only Scott McClellan will instruct the press corps to make it front page news.
