Labor Day Front Porch Event (drunken Bush supporters heckle 70 yr. old)
Edited on Mon Sep-06-04 08:47 PM by My Pet Goat
Drunken Bush supporters heckle 70 year old woman. She had several throat surgeries.

"throughout Senator Kerry's speech...There were approximately fifty Bush supporters, including a very vocal group of about ten who were drinking lots of Busch beer."

"The Bush supporters did not let up shouting while an elderly woman who had several throat surgeries tried to tell her tale, prompting Senator Kerry to say to the cameras and the crowd, "While the Bush people were rudely shouting...a 70-year old woman was trying to tell the story of how she has to go out and work because she needs to take pills."

chimp is paying these hecklers. They are really pro and persistent and seem to be getting as much coverage as the event itself.

That's an interesting story you tell. (I read it on MSNBC on Hardblogger.) But it's so one sided! Next tell us about the Kerry supporters heckling George W. I'll bet that's even more interesting.

Thanks,

27. Some Kerry supporter should video tape all his public appearances
Something like this would make GREAT footage for a news show, or even a political commercial, or even something more serious, if there could be legal steps taken at some point, as in their stepping on the rights of others to meet peacefully.....

Something should be done to turn it to our advantage. Let them take a risk by being seen by the whole world, and identified, rather than intimidating a small gathering.

46. I was handing out K/E pins and bumper stickers at parade
It was 3 hours long. Tons of marching union workers all with T-shirts and signs for Kerry/Edwards. Many of the groups did "Bush must go" and other anti-Bush chants.

Anita Gallagher spotted a marcher in yesterday's Labor Day parade holding a sign that told voters to give President Bush the "pink slip."

She promptly pulled out a pink slip of her own to wave back as she stood on the Boulevard of the Allies watching Pittsburgh's annual parade Downtown.

Gallagher, a McCandless resident and volunteer for Democratic candidate U.S. Sen. John Kerry, was one of many who turned out to see Kerry's wife, Teresa Heinz Kerry, march in the parade.

The result was not only a three-hour queue of union members and marching bands but also, in large part, a Kerry-for-president rally.

The * Koolaid drinkers.

With a friendly crowd in Canonsburg lobbing softball questions yesterday, Democratic presidential nominee John F. Kerry could have ignored a pocket of hecklers that tried to disrupt his campaign.

Instead, Kerry pulled the detractors into his Labor Day speech, part of the "front-porch discussions" he's been holding across the country. He told them their shouts and taunts couldn't cover up facts -- namely, that America has had a net loss of 1.6 million jobs under President Bush.

<snip>

One heckler then shouted, "Yeah, Kerry, you're really average."

Kerry pounced on the comment, replying: "No, I'm privileged, and my tax burden went down. I don't think that's right."

It's time the country started seeing Bush insulates himself TOTALLY from any chance of interruption, and the Republicans do NOT reciprocate the protection their own candidate has by leaving Kerry alone.

It shows what kind of character comprises the Republican party. Dirty, coarse opportunists. Crude idiots who will not control themselves, and dare anyone to do anything about it.

As the story just happened, it is late breaking, isn't it? It truly deserves its own headline.

I have NO tolerance for ignorant, arrogant
hate filled masses.
If they were only affected by one of these maladies,
I might feel some hope, but in my eyes, they are the very worst
of all human character flaws all rolled into one seething
mass of putrid imbeciles, and they WILL reap what they have sown.
I don't want to be around when that happens.

They will turn even uglier than they are now.
It will be dangerous to be anywhere near them when
they start to turn on one another, and mark my words,
they will.

election when the Washington goon squads showed up, along with some right-wing Cuban "exiles" that they actually can seize far more control of public situations than they ever dreamed possible, simply by grabbing the chance.

I don't see what keeps cops or other people from subdueing their acts of intimidation. Why should they get by with it? "Freedom of speech" is really, REALLY being stretched far beyond socially acceptable, and tolerable standards by these Republicans. At what point would they be said to exceed the limits of the law, or is it all subjective when it concerns Republicans?

Geesus,I hate those jack booted brownshirts with a passion. They should be over in Iraq dying for their sweet Jesus bu$h.Bastards. :grr:

49. "Kerry stayed on message"--
great descriptive essay by Diamond..above being called "article".
And his msg was knife sharp. There__is his "swift boat" GOPper N*z*s. Republicans can be so proud.

They were clear law-breakers, their freedom of speech would be legit following the end of the rally. That was causing a disturbance..a court throwing them in the tank for 60 days sounds just.

54. What's most pathetic...
is how clever these people must have thought themselves to be for drinking "Busch" beer.

59. Incident in Tucson
A man and his wife who are running for Precinct Committeeman were out campaigning the neighborhood yesterday and stopped to talk to my spouse who was in the front yard. We had been unaware that they only lived 2-blocks from us yet had been extremely active in the Dem Party and holding office within the State Party. This couple were in their late sixties early seventies and they had told my spouse that things were getting a little nasty. The two factions have begun to compete on major street corners during the day with each side carrying the Kerry/Edwards, Bush/Cheney, and individual artistic signs. This had been a friendly competition for gaining attention of drivers with the normal blowing of horns in agreement or thumbs down or up, until one of the young Bush/Cheney brown-shirts, crossed the road with a paper cup in his hand and he threw the contents on the wife. The paper cup contained urine and she said it wasn't a little paper cup it was one of those super-sized cups that you get at these mini-marts. They said that in all their political lives they have never seen it this bad...that made four of us.

threw it on the woman. Brave, brave little soldier.

75. To get their message across, however, they had to misspell his name.
I think it would have been so elegant if they had brought cans of Bush's Baked Beans with them, instead!

58. The list of Rude Republicans GROWS:
Cheney saying "go fuck yourself," and saying he felt better

Patricia Pearle with mocking VETS with Purple Heartless Bandaids and then not apologizing to offended VETS.

Young Republican pulling a young lady to the ground and kicking her and not apologizing

Zell Miller with his venomous hate speech

Bush's daughter sticking her tongue out to the public

This is a poorly behaved angry party! When are people going to have enough of it?

61. Is this the same
group of Pro-Bush folks that was led by the local GOP Committee Chair? I saw a brief interview and this person denied being paid by the GOP to be at the event...he just said he was there to protest...yeah, right! Buffoons!

68. Why do Republicans Hate America?
Why do they want to be remembered years from today as being a party of classless, rude, intolerant thugs?

Why do they swallow killing children for oil ( the camel) and swallow screaming out 70-year-old women, and swallow the desecration of their Constitution and their livelihoods?

Yet they strain at common, moral treatment of others (the gnat) in a DEMOCRACY where each has the freedom to have a viewpoint. They strain at having to refrain from mocking Veterans, at having to be decent, respectful people.

They are lemmings led to the precipice by their need to hate, like wounded grade schoolers whose Mommies and Daddies are alcoholic child beaters. They act out some paranoid psychosis and it is very sad.

Republicans need to be mentally evaluated and placed in secure places where they cannot harm true Americans.

70. Someone needs to video-record these thugs
And post the results on the Web.

Maybe follow them to their cars and write down the license number?

We need to expose these goons. I give you odds they work for the RNC.

I think any Kerry supporter with a videocam should bring it to all rallies and make a point of recording the disruptors.

77. It's amazing to me that these Bush thugs didn't get the snot beat out of
them. In blue collar Western PA, this sort of thing normally isn't tolerated. I'm not one to condone violence, but there are times when it's the only thing these sub-primates understand.

80. This may have already been posted somewhere...
another psychotic Bush fan in action.

http://www.thedenverchannel.com/news/3710608/detail.html?subid=22100484&qs=1;bp=t

Wouldn't he be better off actually going to fight his king's war instead of beating up veterans?

This really does disturb me, because I try not be so outwardly partisan as to say that "all Republicans are scum," but really, how often do you hear of a Kerry supporter pulling some shit like this?

It's much more fun to send someone else's kids off to die so you can have the free time to sit there with a beer in your hand yelling at old ladies.
