Kerry wants to pull troops out of Iraq within four years

RACINE, W.Va. John Kerry says the war in Iraq is "the most catastrophic" of the many mistakes he says President Bush has made during his time in office.

Kerry told coal miners at a West Virginia Labor Day picnic that he would have done everything differently.

Earlier, Kerry said he would aim to get U-S troops home by the end of his first term.

He called it "the wrong war in the wrong place at the wrong time."

Kerry says American troops have suffered 90 percent of the casualties and American taxpayers covered 90 percent of the cost.

He called the president's coalition in Iraq "the phoniest thing" he's ever heard.

1. We already lost this war!
Let's see who is the political leader with the balls to tell the American people the truth about Iraq!

It is a little late for Kerry to sound like Dennis Kucinich. At least Dennis was credible on Iraq, unlike Kerry, and Dennis had a plan to get all the troops out in six months. Kerry could endorse such a plan on the basis that the war is already lost and that Iraq is bankrupting our country. People will understand that!

It is sad to see that Kerry's own words about Iraq prevent him from using Iraq as an issue. His comment about voting for IWR had he known what he knows now ranks alongside George Romney's "brainwash" statement about Vietnam as a major political blunder.

The best thing that Kerry can do now, other than an Eisenhower style "I Shall Go to Korea" (which may be too late to be used in Iraq), is to talk about the issues that affect the voters personally: JOBS!

I don't know of a single person that has not suffered economically for the past 4 years. Let's exploit that!

2. Four Years? The US was in WWII for only 3 and a half?!?
Guess he wants to be the one to tell something to the mother of the last American soldier to die in Iraq why.....

This war is already lost - Kerry clinging to some purpose in it other than money and greed and pro-Israeli sentiment is a losing intellectual battle.

The world HATES and often FEARS this country for its actions in Iraq. There is no making it better with a change in administration that includes a continued occupation.
