Cleric supports targeting children

An extremist Islamic cleric based in Britain said yesterday that he would support hostage-taking at British schools if carried out by terrorists with a just cause.

Omar Bakri Mohammed, the spiritual leader of the extremist sect al-Muhajiroun, said that holding women and children hostage would be a reasonable course of action for a Muslim who has suffered under British rule.

In an interview with The Sunday Telegraph, Mr Mohammed said: "If an Iraqi Muslim carried out an attack like that in Britain, it would be justified because Britain has carried out acts of terrorism in Iraq.

"As long as the Iraqi did not deliberately kill women and children, and they were killed in the crossfire, that would be okay."

I wonder if Mr. Mohamed actually used the words that would be okay, or even if he expressed these sentiments. If so, his spiritual ideas are coming from another realm.

2. On C-Span 1 last night.. Thomas Barnett a military stategists gave a

power point presentation called, "The Pentagon's New Map". It was the most evil thing I've ever seen. He was talking about targeting the youth in Muslum countries. Or countries in "the gap". I was so shocked I watched the thing twice. It's all about globalization, which I already suspected. Multi-National Corporations coming to a country near you. Nobody's safe.

3. I saw some of that too and whoa!

What a nutbird! with his sci-fi sound effects and graphics and how impressed he was with himself. VERY smart man, -he did include some lavish criticsm of the bushies...all the more chilling.

In his head, he completely *owns* the idea that when the US goes to "war" now, we just roll into a country, say Hi All! we're just here to get the bad guys, go on about your business...

Was he absent for Shock and Awe? Ten thousand dead (like we even KNOW how many it really is). Go on about your business? I've never heard it so minimized by anyone else.

And Star Chamber-like, the dark auditorium is filled with people, suited and UNIFORMED soaking it up like a life-change seminar.

11. Thomas Barnett - I also saw this

I watched this presentation for quite a while. At first, I wondered how Comedy Central placed such a devastating satire on C-SPAN, before I realized Barnett's seriousness.

I used to teach an Ethics in Technology course for computer technicians at a local community college (see! A degree in philosophy does have uses - slave labor adjunct at a community college!). One of my required texts was William Gibson's "Neuromancer," which posits a future world in which governments are so subservient to multinational corporations that corporations have totally free rein. His presentation made me think of the dominant and underlying themes in "Neuromancer" to the point I wondered if KKKarl is using "Neuromancer" as his conscious guide to enslaving "we the people" government to Halliburton.

If you don't feel up to reading the book, just google "Neuromancer" and there's a large number of sites with various interpretations of the work.

to deal with these people in the same way we dealt with people who bomb abortion clinics and shoot doctors who perform abortions.
