EDINBURGH, Scotland (Reuters) - Their relationships with two of the world's most famous men brought international scandals -- but Monica Lewinsky and Rebecca Loos both used the media onslaught to boost their bank balances.

``You'd be an idiot not to get the money,'' said Lewinsky, the former White House intern whose affair with then-President Bill Clinton nearly drove him from office.

``Advertisers, television stations, news anchors -- everyone else is making money. Your story is a commodity,'' added Lewinsky, who received a reported $718,800 for an interview with Britain's Channel 4.

IMO, when a married person has an affair with an unmarried person - the responsibility is on the married party.

As a married man who has had affairs, I don't consider the women involved to be "whores" and I very much appreciated the oral sex.

in the book she did with Andrew Morton. If she has anything further to say, it will have to jibe with everything she's already said. What will really be interesting is if maybe Paula Jones would come clean and tell how she was used by the right-wing fanatics, and how even her own husband was involved. I read where she's had a baby in the past year with the husband she married in Arkansas. So far, though, she hasn't gotten over seeing the Clintons as a cash cow, to be tapped every time she runs out.

consenting adult. What they did in private should have remained private and WOULD HAVE REMAINED PRIVATE IF THE PUKES HADN'T GONE AFTER THEM.

Blame the pukes for making Monica Lewinsky into a whore; I don't think either she or Clinton thought of her as one at the time they were getting it on. If she was young and starry-eyed and naive, then more bad cess to the pukes for taking even worse advantage of her.

If the scandal starved public wants to pay her now, after the pukes have made a pariah of her, I say she's entitled to every bloody cent of it.

IMHO, Clinton would never have left Hillary for Monica; it really all was the fantasy of a deluded young woman who imagined herself in love with a powerful man. In time, if the pukes hadn't got their nasty pointed little sanctimonious noses into it, Bill would have shuffled her off, with a nice job and maybe a nice junior diplomat, too, and years later she would have grown up and grown wiser and no one would have been the worse for it. But the minders of everyone else's morals took over, made a federal case of it, and everyone paid. That Monica gets a little bit back right now, I say good for her.
