Gov. Bush's son to speak

BY LESLEY CLARK

lclark@herald.com

Gov. Jeb Bush's rising Republican star will be temporarily eclipsed next week -- by his son.

As the governor stays behind in Florida to deal with the aftermath of Hurricane Charley, Republican National Convention planners said Thursday they've awarded the governor's first-born a coveted evening speaking spot at the convention, which is scheduled to begin Monday in New York City.

It'll be a return engagement for George P., the newly married law school graduate who has been campaigning for his uncle, President Bush, including a stint last week in Mexico to court American voters.

1. How come George P. isn't in Iraq getting his ass shot off?
It would be the patriotic thing to do.

4. my first thought exactly ( re his vacant look )
I had not been aware of this next-generation chimp.
Hopefully Americans will wake up sometime within the next few years and pass a law prohibiting any descendant of Prescott Bush from holding public office ever again (well, I can dream, can't I?)

29. Strange to say, the Freeps have turned on him
because from his recent pronouncements on border regulations while on his honeymoon in Mexico, they realized he espouses Hispanic issues. So now, the qualities they once fawned over – his Hispanic heritage and supposed language fluency – are liabilities to them.

Like this:

To: Anvilhead

Apparently Latin culture didn't do much for Latin countries like Mexico --- if this guy wants to be president, maybe he could do that in Mexico and promote their ways over there. He seems to forget why his ancestors abandoned that place.

8. What was the scandal surrounding him?
Edited on Fri Aug-27-04 06:00 AM by Divernan
I recall that each of Jeb's kids was involved in scandals.
Noelle - it was being arrested for forging prescriptions to get drugs. Was this guy George P., the one who drove his car into the front of his girl friend's family home when he got angry at her? Or was he the one arrested for having sex in a car at a mall parking lot? Ah, those Bush family values!
ON EDIT; I was right - just checked it on Smoking Gun. On Dec. 31, 1994, George P. (then a student at Rice University) showed up at his ex-girl friend's house in Miami. He broke in to the house through her bedroom window and started arguing with her Dad. He then fled the scene but returned 20 minutes later to drive his Ford Explorer across the lawn, leaving wide swaths of burned grass. There was a Miami Dade police report written up on it, but the family declined to press charges.
I repeat, Ahhh those Bush family values!

36. but the family declined to press charges
I can just imagine what some hastily dispatched BushCo Goon told the father and daughter to get them to drop the charges.

You can readily see the sense of entitlement and disdain for others' property in the behavior of George P. Of course this is a learned trait in the Bush Family forged by their many generations of plundering, looting and influence peddling on the American Scene. This despicable family really do see themselves as above the little people and act accordingly.

Smirk and his Criminal Family have to be ousted from power once and for all, if this country has any hopes of surviving in the decades to come. They are truly evil...one and all.

It's part of this site:

It's fun to post that photo, in light of all the ridicule the rightwing looneytunes heaped on John Kerry when he toured the facility in Florida which required him to wear a head covering.

What a charmed life he must lead. Never punching a clock. Being treated like he royalty wherever he goes. Meanwhile people his age are on their second or even third deployment to the war his family started. It's good to be related to the emperor.

in Iraq. Otherwise why should we care what this 20-something kid who has never achieved anything on his own has to say? He is just a Governors kid and a president's nephew. They are trying to build him up though.
