N.Y. Candidate Seeks Springsteen Boycott
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=683&ncid=703&e=4&u=/ap/20040816/ap_on_el_se/boycott_the_boss

Upset with Bruce Springsteen's effort to oust President Bush from the White House, the New York Conservative Party's candidate for the U.S. Senate is launching a "Boycott the Boss" television commercial.

"He thinks making millions with a song-and-dance routine allows him to tell you how to vote," Marilyn O'Grady says in the 30-second spot. "Here's my vote: Boycott the Boss. If you don't buy his politics, don't buy his music."

In a statement, O'Grady said Springsteen "has a right to say what he thinks, but we have an equal right to speak. Now that he's moved onto the political stage to bash my president, it is entirely fair to respond."

Springsteen was among more than 20 prominent musicians who announced on Aug. 4 that they would hold a series of anti-Bush fund-raising concerts under the "Vote for Change" banner in 28 cities in October.

63. Some stars have GOP stripes.

If you really want to laugh check out this article. A line-up of the brain dead that support the chimp.

The Dems may have the Boss and Babs, but Bush has his celebrity backers, too. Expect to see some in the spotlights at the Republican convention.

and pee on it. After all, Ronald Reagan LOVED to wrap himself around "Born in the USA." Guess he must be a traitor, now, too. Maybe even a cheese-eating surrender monkey. And he was married - til death - to that awful stem-cell research promoter, too!

We get to listen to the Chicks and the Boss.

I'll be back later. I'm off to i-tunes to download "The River."

I never replaced my old vinyl album, and now seemed like the perfect time.

Please only read it if you can find it in the library or can pick it up for a quarter at a garage sale or flea market. Please don't help line that horrible woman's pockets. She doesn't deserve it. In fact, just go to Amazon.com and read the review. They hammer it.

Remember when the President of the United States of America used to be every American's president? I can't wait until we have one president, for one nation, once again.

This lady and "her" president and go start their own country someplace else... maybe with the Southern Baptists? It's a thought. We'd have to make sure they didn't have any intentions about thinking about possibly planning to plan to think about making weapons of mass destruction, though. They're too bent on that Armageddon thing.

58. Boycott Bush supporters!
Actually, if that's the way they want to play it, let's boycott anyone who supports Bush and the Republicans. http://www.opensecrets.org has a list of every corporation that has donated money to Bush and/or Republican candidates. As for celebrities, we can boycott Schwarzenneger and Bruce Willis movies, Travis Tritt music, etc etc.

I've already sworn off all Fox network television shows so their advertisers are wasting their money if they are trying to sell anything to me.

I don't patronize local businesses if they have a Republican candidate's campaign sign in their window either. Fair is fair. I can spend my money where and when I want to. I'm just trying to make sure it doesn't end up financing Bush and his cronies.

Special appearance by John Fogerty!

DEJA VU (ALL OVER AGAIN)

Did you hear 'em talkin' 'bout it on the radio
Did you try to read the writing on the wall
Did that voice inside you say I've heard it all before
It's like Deja Vu all over again

Day by day I hear the voices rising
Started with a whisper like it did before
Day by day we count the dead and dying
Ship the bodies home while the networks all keep score

Did you hear 'em talkin' 'bout it on the radio
Could your eyes believe the writing on the wall
Did that voice inside you say I've heard it all before
It's like Deja Vu all over again

One by one I see the old ghosts rising
Stumblin' 'cross Big Muddy
Where the light gets dim
Day after day another Momma's crying
She's lost her precious child
To a war that has no end

Did you hear 'em talkin' 'bout it on the radio
Did you stop to read the writing at The Wall
Did that voice inside you say
I've seen this all before
It's like Deja Vu all over again
It's like Deja Vu all over again

72. Go buy a CD if you can
to tell this repub fool to shove it!!!!!

The record sales is where the boycott looks to hurt Bruce, so buy a Springsteen CD if you can so the news doesn't report his sales down and give credit to this creep asking for a boycott (like what happened to The Dixie Chicks)

74. Dancing?
"He thinks making millions with a song-and-dance routine allows him to tell you how to vote,"

Obviously, she has never seen the "Dancin' in the Dark" video, because there is no way Springsteen ever made a buck, let alone millions, from his dancin'. I love Springsteen, but he should never, never dance.
