Edited on Sun Aug-15-04 09:12 AM by Nambe
VOA News

Thousands of South Koreans clashed with police near the U.S. Embassy in Seoul to protest South Korea's plans to send more troops to Iraq.

At least 5,000 protesters demonstrated Sunday, calling on South Korean president Roo Moo-hyun to bring the troops home and for the withdrawal of U.S. troops from South Korea. ..

Earlier this year, South Korea began sending 3,000 troops to Iraq, making it the largest coalition partner after the United States and Britain.
