In a Town Hit by Job Losses, Bush Has Doubters and Loyalists
(snip)

Brian Rogers, a 34-year-old truck driver at the Bosch plant who is likely to be among those laid off, said he voted for Mr. Bush in 2000 but was undecided for November.

"I'm probably a Libertarian at heart," Mr. Rogers said. "I'd normally vote conservatively. But the prospect of losing his job "opened my eyes to what's going on in the country,'' he said, adding, "This one hits home."

Buster Bohn, a 44-year-old machine operator said: "America used to be the No. 1 manufacturer and we're not no more. We're becoming a dinosaur."

But Mr. Bohn added that he voted Republican and would continue to do so, largely because of social issues.

In a recent union newsletter, one Bosch worker, Janet King, said that "a lot of our male members, because so many of them hunt, think Democrats want to take away their guns and that is their main reason for voting Republican."

4. Buster would rather be a slave than allow others their freedoms.
He's willing to slavishly march in lockstep to the drumbeat of social repression, even at the cost of his own well-being, and that of his family. He's not just an idiot; he's morally and ethically bankrupt.

What really pisses me off is that this is the mentality of most Americans. Unless the neighbors shit lands on your front lawn you don't give a shit. Well it seems that there needs to be alot of shit dropped on many people front lawns.

5. Are they scared or stupid?
Things are bad, they know it. Don't they trust themselves to hang onto their own values unless they are imposed by the tribe?
