EU Willing to Rethink subsidies, if Bush ends U.S. aid to Boeing
ASSOCIATED PRESS

BRUSSELS, Belgium – The European Union said Saturday it was willing to consider "disciplining" government support to European aircraft maker Airbus – but only if the United States does the same for rival Boeing Co. ..

More recently, questions have been raised about the US$3.2 billion incentive package Washington state offered late last year to secure the assembly plant for Boeing's new 7E7 Dreamliner.

Last December, Airbus also said it was gathering information about government loans and subsidies promised to Japanese companies lined up for about a third of the manufacturing work for the 7E7, including engineering firms Mitsubishi, Kawasaki and Fuji. ..

7. So Airbus looses subsidies if Boeing looses thiers.
I think that is fair enough.

9. The Subsidies are a deflection from Dimson's disaster in the EU
IMO the two major blunders that have hurt Boeing and all US international corporations are the war and the steel tarrifs. Anti bush/American sentiment is universal in Europe. Many, including myself and steel industry marketers were strongly against the steel tarrifs and the war which cut out bids from all but US companies. This is simply a glimpse of the backlash.

10. Capitalism is phony!! Susidizes companies instead of people.
Capitalism is really corporate socialism. Just check your economic history. It spreads the wealth around to corporations and their wealthy owners.
