Edwards: 'No medals for Bush administration on jobs, health care'
Edited on Sat Aug-14-04 08:17 AM by Nambe
The Associated Press

On the opening night of the Olympics, Democratic vice presidential candidate John Edwards told a gym full of partisan supporters at Rosemount High School he doubted anyone in the Bush administration could win a gold medal for jobs or a silver medal for health care.

"I'm not sure they've got anybody who would qualify," he said to an outburst of cheers.

Olympic athletes must have a plan, discipline and hard work to reach their goals, Edwards said in his first campaign stop in Minnesota since winning his party's nomination last month.

"If we're looking for somebody with a plan for America, with a vision for America, who works hard and who has discipline, we have that man: John Kerry." ..

1. yay
thanks for posting. Someone on another thread was wondering, "Where's Edwards. . .?" Very little coverage of him since he hopped off the train.

Just * blabbing same ole sh*t, one sentence of a Kerry clip, followed by stupid Cheney lying. Ughhhhhh

4. WOW!!!.....Edwards, you're outstanding!!!
Way to tell it like it is!!!

The Bushies' only medal they have thoroughly earned above all others is the
the bars in the US penitentiaries.

The only problem is there hasn't been a ceremony to
hand it over to them.

5. Man, the AP is killing me lately. "Partisan supporters"?
why not partisans, or why not just supporters, or why not be professional and just say "people" or "audience". It really cracks me up when you write to papers about their terminology (like using 'democrat' instead of democratic) and they pull out the old saw that it is about brevity and conserving space. Hence we get 'partisan supporters' instead of 'folks' or the like. Just so you KNOW that the audience is brainwashed, and that people who don't agree with Edwards...don't agree with him...or something...
