PNC Financial Services "buy," estimates reduced

NEW YORK, August 12 (New Ratings) - Analysts at Deutsche Bank Securities reiterate their “buy” rating on The PNC Financial Services Group (PNC.NYS), while reducing their estimates for the company. The target price is set to $60.

In a research note dated August 10 and published yesterday, the analysts mention that the company is poised to outperform the large cap bank sector in the near-term. The current reduction in estimates reflects the company’s recent acquisition of the Washington-based bank holding company, Riggs National Corporation, the analysts say. The EPS estimate for 2005 has been reduced from $4.60 to $4.50.
