FDA OKs 'Dirty Bomb' Treatments

(AP) The Food and Drug Administration approved two new products Wednesday designed to help deal with the consequences of terrorists using dirty bombs.

Acting FDA Commissioner Lester M. Crawford says the products, to be available by prescription only, are designed to speed up elimination of radiation from the body.

The newly approved products, both administered by injection, are penetate calcium trisodium (Ca-DTPA) and penetate zinc trisodium injection (Zn-DTPA).

The agency said the goal is to provide protection from both nuclear accidents and THREATS.(?) It said the two drugs are safe and effective for treating contamination from the elements plutonium, americium or curium.

for the moneyed backers of the gang in power to be ecriched. All the concerns that have been flailing about since the 'fall' of communism have been waiting for a scenario which enables them to make money off fears which they manipulate. Big Pharma is no exception.

Drugs against threats are called vaccines. We need a vaccination for SPS (Selected President Syndrome)

these treatments have multiple uses. As noted they aid in speeding the elimination of radioactive contaminants from the body.

This is something that works in numerous industrial situations as well.

These medications work to eliminate internal contamination (such as would result from anything from a dirty bomb to a small scale leak of some sort an an industrial radiological facility).

They aren't attempting to make money off of fear, they are attempting to enhance or replace already existing treatments for a real issue.
