27 missing after mine blast - China
An explosion tore through a mine in northern China on Monday, leaving 27 workers missing, the government said.

The blast occurred at a mine in the city of Jingzhong in Shanxi province, the official Xinhua News Agency said.

Twenty-seven miners were trapped underground and it wasn't immediately clear if they were alive, Xinhua said. It did not provide any other details.

It was the third mine accident in Shanxi in less than two weeks.

I can't imagine a Chinese, male, smoker going 2 hours without a cig. I wonder if this has anything to do with it?
