Judicial panel reprimands Washington (State) Supreme Court justice
Edited on Sat Aug-16-03 02:15 PM by MaineDem
OLYMPIA, Wash., Aug. 16 — A state Supreme Court justice who was cited for drunken driving after hitting a parked pickup truck in her car has been reprimanded by a judicial conduct panel.

At the Friday meeting of Washington's Commission on Judicial Conduct, Justice Bobbe Bridge agreed to recuse herself from any drunken driving or hit-and-run cases if requested by lawyers on either side.

She also agreed to speak in public forums and to judges' groups about ''ethics matters'' related to her conduct.

"...after hitting a parked pickup truck in her car" Why was the truck in her car? (Sorry, that just jumped out at me when I read it.)

Edited to add "state" to the Subject.

1. You might want to alter the title a little
and insert the word (state) between "Washington" and "Supreme."

I know it's THEIR title, but it's very misleading....not your fault, only following the LBN rules.

3. OK, DUI warrants a reprimand,, so what is the proper response to a
state Supreme Court justice who ignores the order of a Federal Appeals court judge?
